Our people

We currently employ 32 people. Our employees are skilled and passionate about what they do. They are loyal and trusted and provide valuable input into the services we provide at YEM. We have a high percentage of long-term employees that have been with us for more than 10 years. This positions us well for our ongoing work activities and for the future training and learning for our younger employees.

Our business enablers

Komatsu

YEM has a very productive working relationship with Komatsu. They are innovating with the latest technology available for their machinery and enabling systems. The Komtrax remote monitoring system uses satellite-based IT and telemetry to provide constant monitoring of every Komatsu machine in our fleet. The system constantly checks operational conditions and machine status to help maximise machine safety, productivity, uptime and availability.

Our Komatsu PC210LCi-10 Excavator features a revolutionary 3D GNSS machine control and guidance system. Operators can move material without over, or under-digging, resulting in significant improvements in efficiency and productivity compared with conventional earth moving processes.

Aptella

Aptella is YEMs partner for machine control and positioning systems. When working to detailed earthworks plans that require accuracy to the millimetre, we rely on instrumentation and GPS systems to achieve accurate and quality works. Aptella’s construction machine guidance and control technology delivers an efficient and more productive construction methodology. Importantly, it improves the accuracy of all our set out work on site. Plus we can continually check work levels as we go instead of going back after the earth has been cut. 

Civil Contractors Federation

We are a long time member of the Civil Contractors Federation (NSW). CCF represents employers in the civil infrastructure construction industry. We work closely with CCF to ensure that we are up to date with civil specific information, industrial relations and maintain compliance with the ever changing industry regulations.

We are proud to have worked with CCF to receive Business Certification across our Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems.
